As a private, non-profit organization, Volunteers in Medicine relies solely on the support of many private individuals, businesses and foundations. VIM receives no taxpayer dollars from federal or state government.
Local businesses support the clinic in many different ways. Restaurants donate dinners to feed our volunteer staff. Local office supply stores donate goods to help keep our operational costs low, as well as, many other companies that donate services, such as free garbage pick-up and recycling.
Our community partners include 45 medical organizations and 190 local physicians who provide a variety of professional medical services totaling over a million dollars annually. Some of the services provided include physical therapy, diagnostic and surgical services, specialty consults, and lab and imaging services.
Without the many private and non-profit partners who continue to support us in our mission, the VIM Clinic of the Cascades would be unable to offer healthcare to thousands of uninsured families living and working in Deschutes County.
