Unique position available at a non-profit medical clinic in Bend
Volunteers in Medicine - Clinic of the Cascades in Bend, Oregon is currently seeking a Clinical Medical Professional (MD, DO, or Nurse Practitioner).
Experience / Qualifications:
Duties include direct patient care 20 hours/week during regularly scheduled clinics (half days M-F—see below). This is a unique position in a safety net clinic setting providing pro-bono medical care using professional and volunteer staff and providers. Full range of services available on-site including: pharmacy, mental health counseling, specialty referrals and care, patient education, RN care coordination, and interpreters. Compassionate care for the underserved is a value embraced by our clinic.
The position requires no call, no weekends, and no billing. A medical director (MD) is present at every clinic to assist as needed.
Location: Bend, Oregon
Hours: This is a part-time position (20hrs/wk)
Compensation: $38,000 - $45,000 DOE
Start date: Anticipated on or before April 1, 2012

Experience / Qualifications:
• Family Practice or Internal Medicine patient care (MD, DO or Nurse Practitioner)
• Current Oregon license in good standing.
• If MD/DO: Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current DEA preferred
• Must be credentialed / eligible for credentialing through COIPA.
• Experience with an EMR, preferred
• Computer skills on Microsoft Windows based platforms
• Excellent intrapersonal skills
• Strong desire to help people and improve the health of our community
• Bilingual Spanish desirable but not required
