HEART OF HEALTHCARE AWARDS

 

VIM’s Ronald E. Carver, MD Heart of Healthcare Award recognizes Central Oregon licensed medical professionals who have made an exceptional contribution to the medically underserved locally, nationally and internationally.

We are proud to announce the 2012 honorees:  J. Randall Jacobs, MD and Catherine Quas, DMD.  Both will receive a $1,000 award to be donated to the medical charity of their choice.
 

J. RANDALL JACOBS, MD

Dr. Randy Jacobs, Director of the Bend Memorial Clinic Urgent Care Centers, is the volunteer medical director of the Central Oregon Veterans Outreach mobile medical unit, providing care to all the homeless in Central Oregon. He is a member of the Medical Teams International disaster response volunteer staff, and has made several trips to east Africa providing care to refugees.

 

 

CATHERINE QUAS, DMD

Dr. Cate Quas is a licensed pediatric dentist and orthodontist, and the founder of Bluefish Dental & Orthodontics, who is committed to creating access to quality dental treatment and care for all children in Central Oregon.  Dr. Cate volunteers her services to a number of local non-profits including the Kemple Memorial Children’s Dental Clinic and Give Kids a Smile Program, as well as to pediatric patients in her own clinic.
